Top New Games to Play With Your Partner on Valentine’s Day

If you’re lucky enough to have a partner who enjoys gaming, then Valentine’s Day (and almost every single day) can be awesome. Order some food, hop on that sofa, perhaps have a bit of a cuddle and a kiss, and then jump right into a great game that the two of you can play together.
Now, there are many awesome games you can play with your partner this Valentine’s Day. We’ll take a look at some of the best of them. We do want to point out that not a huge number of games have been released this year, especially those that can be played with a partner. So, we’ve taken a few liberties and gone for some older games that you might not have heard of. At least they’ll be new to you!
The Sims 1 and Sims 2

Now, we know that some people will be screaming “But the Sims isn’t new”’. We agree. It isn’t. However, for the anniversary of the original launch of the game, the two original games have been given a bit of a spruce up and re-released on several platforms. Well, on PC-based platforms, you won’t be playing these on your PlayStation or your Xbox.
The Sims has always been a favourite of ours for a romance-themed evening. Nothing quite like making your partner in-game, building a life together in-game, and ignoring all your worries outside of the game. It just sucks there is no multiplayer mode, as that would have been huge amounts of fun.
Slot machines
Want to win some money to cover the increasingly expensive Valentine’s Day? Well, we know a few couples that play slots together. While they aren’t exactly multiplayer games, there is a bit of enjoyment from having somebody scream over your shoulder in excitement in the hope that your next spin will be a winner.
The best part is that there are a lot of Valentine’s Day-themed slots out there. We don’t think there is anything new for this year, but since you have likely never played slots for Valentine’s Day before, we reckon everything will be new for you.
Here are some of the best Valentine’s slots we found at johnslots.com/en/slots/slot-themes/valentines-day:
- Immortal Romance: Not strictly Valentine’s Day themed, but it is something a little different. Immortal Romance came out when Twilight was at its peak. It’s about vampires falling in love. It is a very atmospheric game, although the RTP isn’t that high.
- Pride and Prejudice: The greatest love story of all time (we’ll be honest and say that we’ve never read it). Based on the novel of the same name, this romance-themed slot offers almost 97% RTP.
- Irish Love: This game is a bit simpler than the other slots, but still just as fun. Plus, what screams Valentine’s Day more than a couple of leprechauns – hopefully – giving you some cash!

Chained Together

This is a unique concept and one that should give you a few hours of fun. In this game, you’ll be ‘chained’ to your partner. The two of you will then need to navigate a few different puzzles. Some of them can be pretty challenging.
Overcooked

You should only play this game with somebody you have a pretty close relationship with, or perhaps you want to find out what somebody’s personality is like on a first date. Overcooked is a fun game that can destroy relationships! In Overcooked, the two of you work together to serve up food in a restaurant. It is a simple game, but things can get pretty hectic if one of you doesn’t try to take charge of whatever is happening.
Unravel 2

Unravel 2 is a cutesy co-op game where you play the role of two little ‘toys’ made out of yarn. As you play, you play through ‘memories’ of a family. The game can get very sad at times, but we love the aesthetic of the game as well as the puzzles. Plus, you do have to work together. We love that for a Valentine’s Day game. You don’t want one person sitting on the sidelines, do you?
It Takes 2

It Takes 2 is another co-op game. This, unlike the other games, can only be played with another person. Again, it’s a sad story (it deals with divorce), but it’s a real journey that will have you crying near the end. Lots of puzzles to solve, and it was ranked as one of the best games the year it came out, which is really saying something since it had barely any budget.
Whatever you play – have fun!
This is just a small smattering of the games you can play this Valentine’s Day with your partner. There are plenty of others, and you might not even play any of the ones on this list. However, we are fairly confident that no matter what you choose, you’re going to have a whole lot of fun playing it!
